Privacy
Short version: this site counts pages, not people. It doesn't track you, and it never stores your IP address.
- No cookies, no advertising, no third-party analytics or trackers.
- One thing is kept in your browser: after you close the notice at the bottom
of the page, your browser remembers that (in its local storage, key
lollilog.notice) so it doesn't show again. It stays on your device, is never sent to the site, and you can remove it by clearing this site's data. - No comments or forms: the site never asks you for anything.
- Anonymous statistics. To see which posts are read and from roughly where, each page sends one small request to this site when you open it, and the server writes one line with: the page, whether it's the first page of a visit (worked out by the page itself, without any ID), the name of the site that linked to it (if any), the kind of device (phone, tablet or computer), and your approximate location (continent, country and city, as Cloudflare estimates it from your connection). The page also reports a few anonymous events: how quickly it loaded (three timings in milliseconds, as your browser measured them), how far a post was read (in quarters), which other sites were followed from a link (the site's name only), and that the search was used (not what was searched for).
- Never recorded: your IP address, your browser's details, the full address of the page that sent you, search terms, or anything that identifies you or links one visit to another.
- Do Not Track is respected: if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is recorded at all. Automated visitors (bots) aren't counted either.
- These statistics stay on servers at home, are only seen by me, and are deleted after 90 days. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in knowing what's read on my own site.
- Cloudflare sits in front of the site to deliver it securely, so it handles your connection (including your IP address) under its own privacy policy, and provides the approximate location mentioned above.
- Fonts and images are served from this site itself, not from other services. Share buttons are plain links: nothing loads from those networks unless you click one.
- The RSS feed (/rss.xml) is a plain list of posts for feed reader apps. Fetching it isn't recorded, so I don't know who follows the feed.
If this ever changes, this page will say so first. See also the terms. Last changed: 9 October 2026.
